To all my valued readers and subscribers, thank you for visiting.
My name is Jean and in my past life (before kids) I was a manager, executive secretary, a Consultant for an IT company, a Technical Writer, and a Business Analyst for a large company. In my childhood years I was mostly exposed to clerical stuff since my mom took care of the books for my dads business...so it became a natural to get into. I enjoyed it and was really good at it. The management team and directors *the guys who keep you employed* saw the talents I had and tapped into me for more than I bargained for. During this crazy phase of employement I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
aka CFS...I thought my life was over and it really had just begun.

I had just gotten married and didn't know if my hubby would understand or be able to wrap his head around what my body was doing to me. I quit my job and spent many weeks trying to get myself together and put that nasty CFS into remission. It took many many weeks, but I was finally able to do stuff without having to take a nap ALL the time. I read books on CFS and attended seminars whenever they were available to educate myself on what this thing was and how to tame it. I changed my diet and changed my career to alleviate some of the stress on my body which really seemed to be key. So what did I get into next? I put myself through Dog Grooming School, registered with some companies as a secretarial temp while I got my mobile grooming business off the ground. After 6 months of starting my business I had a wait list two pages long and although it was a good thing, it was also a bad thing because I really didn't want to head back to 'bed' to recover from pushing myself. I kept the business up and running solo for 2.5 years till I found out I was pregnant..*wasn't supposed to be able to be..doctors were wrong! I ended up chatting with my vet and inquired about possibly offering my business up for his groomer. I didn't want to step on toes here! He was really cool about it and in the end she bought my business and I was able to carry on with life without sleeping.
Fast forward to today! I am now a wife, mom, housekeeper, gardener, handyman errr woman, taxi driver (depending on the weather it is either a Lincoln Navigator or a Mini Cooper), personal secretary, daughter, cook...well you get the picture! We took some time to add some furry friends to our family. We adopted 3 cats from shelters. Flour is white and Spice is black. We had 'Sugar' (she was white, too) but she died from FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis).
Why am I doing this blogging web site? To make a long story short..I have been researching 'work-at-home online jobs' for about a year and half and have decided that it is just not possible to do what I wanted to do or thought I could do. I found that you could make money blogging and I decided to give that a try. I read 20 plus books on HTML, web design, blogging and Learing Dreamweaver.
One of the best books I read that pushed me forward during all of my doubts was Who Let the Blogs Out?: A Hyperconnected Peek at the World of Weblogsby Biz Stone. The way Biz wrote his book made me feel as if he was in the same room with me and telling me 'YOU CAN DO THIS!'. Thank you Biz you wrote an awesome book! I have found Biz and am following him on Twitter. You can follow me on Twitter too!
That brings me to right here right now. My nephew Stephen introduced me to Adobe Dreamweaver
. That is a fun software package and it does so much, thank you Stephen! I knew I needed some kind of template to startout and found Wordpress.org had many of the features that I needed to succeed and Wordpress is compatible with Dreamweaver
There are so many new doors open since I have started this venture. I am excited about all of it and learning tons of stuff everyday.
I hope that you enjoy my site and that you will visit it often to see what's cooking and what may be going on in my corner of the world!
Cheerz 2 You!
