When I first started driving the MINI I got to experience the feel of driving a go cart. It sure did bring back memories of taking the kids on those go carts!
So what makes other drivers or strangers who drive these MINI’s acknowledge other drivers? I think that is some unofficial club for MINI owners to celebrate through a wave saying ‘YEAH! You know what I am feeling too when I drive mine! Have a great day!!!' Through these kind gestures and waves, it makes you connect with strangers who are common ground.
I have had comments from people who say or ask, “I heard that driving one of those is like driving a go cart. Is that true?” I immediately feel facial changes to an uplifting smile and a nod and enthusiasm to spew out the word ‘YES!’ The next few questions are about gas mileage asking: is it all worth it? YES! YES! YES!! You not only get to experience that go cart feel, you get to keep some money in your pocket each time you head to the gas station. How can you go wrong?
If you have a chance to drive or ride in a MINI you will be able to get the feel for what I am saying and if you are even luckier, you may pass another MINI whose driver may wave and smile. Wave back, it will sure help to make you smile and the other driver’s is sure to smile as well. Smiles are free and so are waves, what have you got to lose? So if a stranger acknowledges you while driving a MINI Cooper you can consider yourself part of the unofficial club. Just a wave and a smile will get you into the unofficial club of MINI drivers.
